About Us

Empowering Independent Artists Since 1979

Revolver Music Services is the new branch of Revolver Records, one of the UK’s oldest independent record labels. Since 1979, we’ve been committed to helping musicians and songwriters release music, and build sustainable careers.

Today, we’ve started a full-service music company providing everything you need to record, distribute, promote, and monetize your music worldwide all while owning your rights.

For over four decades, Revolver Music has stood for creative independence, artist-first thinking, and long-term music careers. Founded in the West Midlands, UK in 1979, we’ve evolved from a pioneering independent label into a full-service music company built to support the modern artist — without compromising ownership or vision.

And we do it with no upfront costs, while you own 100% of your rights.

Our music services division works with a wider pool of developing artists who we believe have the potential to grow into long-term careers — and ultimately make the jump into our label system and beyond. These artists are distributed globally through AudioSalad, with powerful digital reach, analytics, and promotional tools.

When you’re ready to scale, we offer a clear pathway from Revolver Music Services into Revolver Records, and upstream into Warner Music distribution, with publishing support from Warner Chappell, the largest music publisher in the world.

Founded in the West Midlands, Revolver Records quickly gained a reputation for breaking genre-defining talent. Over more than 40 years, our catalog has featured legendary artists like The Stone Roses, Misfits, Sister Sledge, Scorpions, Diamond Head, and UK Subs.

We began in 1978 with our first imprint, Heavy Metal Records, and quickly expanded with additional sub-labels across genres:

🎸 Heavy Metal Records (HMR) – A founding force in metal, still active today.
🎹 FM Records – Focused on dance, jazz, and electronic, with landmark acts like Magnum and White Sister.
Black Records – Indie/punk innovators who helped launch The Stone Roses with their early single Sally Cinnamon.

Through every era — from vinyl and cassette to global streaming platforms — we’ve stayed true to our roots: supporting forward-thinking artists with music that matters.
